Does The CECT i9 iPhone Clone Work With Large Carriers Like T Mobile? What About AT&T?
I still receive a lot of questions about the CECT i9. And, one of the most common questions is an inquiry that I get about all of the clones. People often ask me if you can use the i9 with major carriers like AT&T and T Mobile or if you are limited to the lessor name pre paid sim cards. I will address these concerns in the following article.
The i9, Like All Clones, Work With Activated GSM Sim Cards: Most of the iClones are compatible with GSM sim cards and this includes those from the major networks and carriers like T Mobile and AT&T. Not only that, but even pre paid sim cards from the larger carriers (like T Mobile To Go and Go Phone) fall under this category. Since the i9 is a quad band (as are most of the current clones) it works world wide.
So if you're really opposed to one of the lessor known pre paid sim cards then this needn't be a concern. I sometimes have people tell me that they can't get their sim from a larger carrier to work. Most of the time, they either have the card installed backward or the card has not yet been activated. Both of these things need to happen for the phone to work correctly.
The concern that some people have with the smaller carriers is that they worry that the coverage won't be as good or that the signal won't be as strong. These concerns usually aren't founded either. Many of the lessor known carriers (simple mobile and H2O are two examples, but there are others that often have very competitive pricing) are running on the same networks as the larger carriers. So, while these carriers probably don't have the advertising or marketing budgets of the bigger carriers, they do have comparable coverage and competitive prices. And, they also are usually more likely to offer "all in one" or "everything included" pricing so that you get talk, text, and web for one usually lower price.
Sometimes people are interested in these clones but they already have an account and phone number with one of the larger carriers and they don't want to loose these things. This concern is usually also unwarranted as your GSM sim with your old carrier should work (as long as it's still activated and current. ) And since the CECT i9 has two sim slots, you can still keep your old network number and account while taking advantage of some of the discounted sim cards or pre paid plans if you choose to do so. Many consumers consider that route to be the best of both worlds, which is probably one reason why the clones remain popular today.
