Is Discovery Toys The Number One Work At Home Business For Parents?
It may seem ironic that one can make extra income in an industry catering to kids, but that is exactly the case with Discovery Toys.
That is indeed the case with Discovery Toys, a network marketing
company out of Livermore California. Founded by Lame Nemeth over a quarter century ago, Nemeth was a homemaker who had an idea of line of teaching toys for kids.
She believed children learned better if they were not only involved
but entertained. A truism that applies to all ages actually.
Stay -at-home moms were the perfect people to retail the goods of Discovery Toys. Nemeth also believed this line of educational toys and the design to market them in this way would allow mothers additional income while promoting the product line. A winning situation for everyone involved.
In the present day Discovery , with their quality goods and unconditional guarantees, have constructed a stellar reputation as a honorable and reliable business.
The products are also reasonably priced, with over eighty percent of
their inventory priced at $20 or under.
And this is my greatest concern with Discovery Toys.
Whenever I research a business, I attempt to look into how the
company's products will do in any economic climate, particularly a
poor one, as any company should be able to fare well in a robust
economy. People will always provide themselves with necessities first- or what they view as necessities- such as food, electricity, fuel, etc. , then cut back in other areas;but one subject that is cut back as little as possible, until it is absolutely necessary, is items for their children . Most parents ( if not all) will first make sacrifices in other areas, so as to shield their children from the pain the rest of the family is going through when dealing with job security issues and the like.
And one thing every parent longs to provide their offspring with is an education: a close second is gifts they can enjoy.
Discovery Toys meets both those needs, and thus is in a very unique
and potentially profitable niche.
It is a market that will not grow cold.
So if the market i good , what is my concern for you if you're
looking into Discovery? The Pricing, and comp plan.Or more
specifically , whether one can make a full-time income with the
company.
The initial cost is a mere $99 dollars and includes catalogs, a handful of the top items for various age groups, and the necessary components for party hosting. And three months ( for free ) of a business website.
The comp plan includes a percentage (25 on wholesale) on the toys one is able to sell. Then as one progresses and recruits others into their Discovery team , they can then make as much as 40% on sales and 15% of what their entire team makes. However, with the products
Discovery offers, building a team of like minded stay-at-home moms should not be that
difficult.
An additional feature of Discovery is that its members are able to market in any territory in the United States, not simply locally.
Everyone knows( or should know) getting into a network marketing company is
not a get rich quick venture, and will involve sustained effort
that can be time-consuming.
So while i think Discovery Toys is a great company with a fantastic
and worthwhile objective, I believe it is perfect for a part-time
oppurtunity, but would take a lot of work and verve to realize a solid
full-time income with Discovery.
My reasoning for such a conjecure is that there is not a consistently consumable product ( the genre does not really lend itself to one), and the alarm that one could rush through their warm market rapidlyand then become bogged down . Indeed there are certain people who can prosper in any company , but i am simply stating for the average person's chances of success this is my observation. Nonetheless, if one learns how to be creative and advertise efficiently,it is totally viable to earn a substantial salary with Discovery Toys or any other company leveraging the potential of the internet.
