How To Print Business Cards
Printing business cards on your own can save you money. If you are just starting out as a businessman, printing business cards at home can be practical. Surely, sending out business cards to potential clients and customers is one of the first steps in getting the world around and may be critical in networking. But if you are computer savvy with ample time to spare, you can make your own business card and customize it according to your taste. Printing business cards, however, can prove daunting to a beginner. There are a lot of options needed to consider: what program to use, what template to choose, what paper to buy, etc. For anyone who has had experience in desktop publishing or graphic design, though, making business cards can be quite easy. Here, though, you will learn the basics of making business cards. We will give you tips on how to print business cards. - Check the quality settings of your printer. Inspect the print dialog box and make sure that you have provided your desired color options as well as print quality. Double check the print settings. For convenience, though, save the settings which your normally use in the list for Presets. - If your business card has a colored photo, say for example, a picture of your or a logo of your company, make use of a glossy paper. This will ensure that the printed cards look good as it is on your computer screen. If you do not use glossy paper, the print quality may just disappoint you. Invest on high quality paper. - Always use high resolution images. There is a difference between what you see on your computer monitor and what comes out of your desktop printer. Always use the image with the largest possible resolution. Just resize the image if it occupies the whole face of your business card. Resize it until you reach the desired measurement. Do not worry; the print quality will not be affected. - Make sure that the paper is compatible with your desktop printer. For example, do not use a gloss-coated paper on a laser printer. You may say goodbye to your printer thereafter. When using a laser printer, in monochrome in particular, do not use many colors in the design. Otherwise, you won't recognize the difference between two colors, say, blue or green. - If your business cards has a background image or background color, buy a paper that has gaps between cards. These gaps enable compensation for possible imprecision when you feed the paper to the printer. Do not enable your pictures be on the fringe of your business card. Allot spaces before the edge. Always remember the different tips and techniques when printing business cards at home. If you mess up on your first try, do not fret. There is always a first time for mistakes. Just keep on improving your technique, so that you will be able to come up with a quality print for your business card. Test print if you like, so that you can make the necessary changes in your design. Be always on the lookout for misspelling or incorrect information.
