3 Reasons to Invest in Egyptian cotton Sheets
Well the first reason to buy Egyptian cotton sheets is the obvious reason...softness. Egyptian cotton sheets can only be classified as luxury bedding. Until a few years ago, luxury bedding was mainly associated with luxury villas or suites in upscale hotels. So why are Egyptian cotton sheets softer than plain cotton sheets? When intertwining strands of yarn to make a larger product, long-staple cotton has fewer connection points, and therefore a greater percentage of area is the natural softness of the cotton.
Second reason...durability. You should think of your Egyptian cotton sheet set as an investment. Quality sheets of high thread count will last for years. All cotton has natural attributes that make it a smoother, softer and more comfortable choice. Cotton sheets never feel sticky against your skin because it is "breathable" cotton sheets are perfect for any season providing year-round comfort. An added bonus in your investment of Egyptian cotton sheets, they are durable yet elegant and their softness is enhanced with each washing. Which leads us to our third reason.
Third reason to buy, Egyptian cotton sheets are machine washable. Luxury bedding doesn't have to be silk or satin. You should go for luxury bedding which can be easily cleaned at your home. There are Egyptian cotton sheet sets ranging from 300 to 1500 thread count per square inch. Thread count is the number of vertical and horizontal threads in one square inch of fabric. The higher the thread count, the softer the feel of the sheet, and the more pill-resistant it is. Also the higher the thread count, the softer and more durable the sheets will be. Again logically the higher the thread count the higher amount of cotton in the sheet, thus a higher price.
